SPA N54 single turbo cast log mani reviews?

Has anyone on here tried the SPA cast log mani yet? If so, please post reviews here with specifics on the setup, especially the turbo used. Logs and dynos would be nice.

Here is a thread on them. The manifold has obviously gone through some revisions since the beginning, which is a good thing, it could be pretty solid these days:

I wish they would have made a version with a t4 divided.

I don't get why it isn't more popular for that money. People buy manifolds from some guy with absolutely zero engineering knowledge welding in a garage versus Spa?

I agree with blaster. That t3 flange is gonna be restrictive.

It may be possible with a group buy. When I was helping with the test fitment it was too costly to move the flange or change to a t4. Felipe at SPA is who I delt with. Very nice guy.

FWIW a Garrett T3/T67 H.O. Turbocharger can make 700whp to the wheels and is only a grand. So while the t3 is a limitation it would be a fine option for a ST build that does not want to build the engine from my understanding.

    https://www.full-race.com/store/garr...t67-h-o-turbo/

A turbo like this and the spa cast manifold full kit at say in the 3-4k range definitely has a place in the market. Especially for people who want a single because of the upgraded twins potential reliability issues.

    1k turbo
    1k manifold
    $150 downpipe
    $50 dump tube
    $50 filter
    $300 wastegate
$200 misc stuff I am forgetting

    Am I missing something?

Not sure on the clearance but since it is a centered bottom mount I would assume a very flat water jacket to water pump aluminum pipe.

Your pricing is on point only if you have a good hook up on fabrication. If not, id easily add another $5-800 for custom fabrication.

I tried contacting Spa several times and they aren't bothering to respond so... I guess you can so no to a T4 flange.

sch10 ss w/ t3 flange welded it up one weekend just because. Already had a wastegate and gtx3582 on hand. Very cheap setup would have made more power if I had e85 on hand in Hawaii. Glad to be back on the mainland!

Cost me about $70 bucks for the manifold. Turbo is a chinese gtx3582 with garrett guts for $600 and wired in my own mac solenoid $15 and tial 44mm wastegate $375, ebay ss 3in 2jz downpipe modified to fit $75 ,Made all my own fittings except for rb oil feed and rear coolant block off. Maybe $1400 for the entire setup.

Definitely a budget setup there. We have several of those OEM manifolds on hand with an already cut off the turbine housing- if anyone is looking for some shoot us an email.

Didn't think a little weekend project would embarrass so many cars. Getting rid of one of my 335's so i'll be buying this mani and selling it as a kit for cheap.

Not sure I understand you? Elaborate please?

You are building a kit around this manifold?
