The owner says the car runs & drives with the final hold up being caused by getting the smg paddles to work with the transmission.

Well then if it all works this should become very popular.

Especially with how cheap S85 cars are now.

I found a video with the DCT swapped M5 in action at a dyno. It's really awesome! I made an account just to update this (and 2 other) topics for archiving purposes, however I'm not allowed to make a hyperlink because I have 0 reputation.

There was a live vid on IG back in October on the 27th of them test driving the car going through the gears and accelerating then nothing. They switched focus to the Lambo project it seems. I couldn't bring my car to a shop that appears to be all over the place project wise as I don't see how it's possible to get all that work done without someone's car being put on the back burner. Very disappointing as I really want an M5 if it's possible to do this swap.

What's the latest with this project?

I'm attempting this project with some friends, we currently have the vehicle in limp mode, but we have the vehicle shifting from 1st to 7th, limited to 2500RPM (limp mode) and 60/65MPH.

We imagine we now need more coding, currently trying to add to the VO, +2MK and +2MD, which it's not accepting.

It's shelved as the downshifts never cooperated and they didn't pursue the coding/programming further as only 1 person signed up for it.

It's not a cheap swap and few are willing to pay money to do it.

That's a shame, we'll continue to pursue it. If anyone has any help and advice, would be greatly appreciated.

We can shift all the way through to 7th, and downshift too, but the vehicle is in limp mode currently (limited to 2500RPM)

M6. Full race car spec and tear down to bare shell, building back up from scratch.

Well we've done it, functioning DCT in an M6. OEM Modules, nothing aftermarket, just some clever wiring and calibration! I can't link to it as this is currently a guest vendor account. It's on the BMW v10 (M5 M6) page on Facebook.

    Wow that's amazing!

Can you provide more details about the basics of the setup? Are all the modules from the M6? Maybe you are using 2 ECMs?
