    • Evolve Automotive drag racing their Stage 2 BMW F90 M5 against various Nissan GT-R's

You see more M5's at the dragstrip these days because, well, BMW made it into a hell of a dragster. All wheel drive with a twin turbo V8 that leaves room for tuners to work with makes for a potent drag racing platform despite the wolf in sheep's clothing luxury exterior and interior.

Evolve's F90 M5 features their Stage 2 tuning package consisting of software and bolt ons. Evolve is well known for their BMW software work throughout the work. They are some of the best in the business.

So how does a bolt on F90 M5 do against tuned GT-R's? Quite well. As you know GT-R's can range from mild to wild and there certainly were some fast examples in attendance at Santa Pod Raceway.

The conditions were not great with a strong headwind but the F90 M5 trapped a solid 131.30 miles per hour. Not bad for pump gas, street tires, and bolt ons.

      The F90 M5 chipped away and managed to improve to 10.416 @ 132.15. A 10.489 @ 134.02 followed.

Unfortunately Evolve did not post the slips or GPS data but check out the video below to see the runs as well as various other hardware in attendance.

Impressive with or without it but I don't think Evolve would lie about a headwind.
