    • Too little, too late? MMP Engineering developing GTX3071R based S63TU turbochargers for F10 M5, F90 M5, F85 X5M, F86 X6M

MMP is a turbo manufacturer that made bold claims over the years namely in the N54 sector. Their MMP '1K' N54 turbochargers never actually made 1,000 horsepower to this day and the majority of the time BimmerBoost sees them is when someone is listing them for sale in the classifieds.

MMP's track record is not only bumpy to say the least their customer service and communication is poor. How poor? They have yet to respond to BimmerBoost product inquiries and doing so would only help their own business. Not to mention the many customers we see ignored or who have stopped cheerleading for them on the forums.

With that said, what makes anyone think MMP will succeed in the competitive S63TU turbo upgrade sector? Especially when proven big names who know how to answer e-mails already dominate it?

OEM turbos for the engine are 44mm turbine and 45mm compressor, these turbos are 54mm turbine and 54mm compressor which is a GTX3071R turbo.

They have 7075-T6 high strength aircraft grade billet aluminum CNC machined center sections hard anodized gold saving 2lbs per turbo (4lbs total) and much stronger than the stock castings and ALOT better at heat conduction to keep the turbos cool. Has a super expanded 5x larger internal water jacket for extreme high performance cooling. Uses a dual ceramic ball bearing cartridge which provides best possible spool and durability. Comes standard with a 2 yr warranty.

Bolts onto stock Downpipes, chargepipes, oil, and coolant lines with no fuss, perfect fitment. Each turbo can flow 55lbs/min of air max. This is the ultimate bolt on upgrade for your M5/M6. Dyno results coming soon. Available now as a special order for those that canít wait. Intro pricing $2500 per turbo.
That all sounds nice but there are no dynos to share or any durability testing to point to. It looks like they are looking for a guinea pig to get the ball rolling.

Want some advice? Don't be a guinea pig to make someone else money.

Still looking (begging) for testers. Why would he price these per turbo instead of for the pair??

Intro pricing should be way lower than that. Although 2500 isn't bad and us somewhat similar to the stock cost.

Still, if it's being tested.....agreed, the cost shouldn't be offloaded to the tester.

There are MANY other proven options at this point.
