    • Jordan Tuned factory turbo S55 (BMW F82 M4, F80 M3) topping 600 rwhp on E85 with bolt ons

600 wheel horsepower and 642 lb-ft of wheel torque from the factory S55 turbochargers? That is a lot of power Cary Jordan is extracting. You may remember he went as @CaryTheLabelGuy on forums but is launching his own Jordan Tuned company using his last name.

Cary Jordan calls himself, 'The Most Trusted Name in BMW Custom Tuning' and while these results are impressive he may want to pump the brakes on calling himself the most trusted BMW tuner.

Hyperbole aside he is getting nice peak numbers out of this F82 M4:

That 600 rwhp comes at 5900 rpm and the power curve drops toward redline with a torque curve that falls off a cliff. These OEM turbos are being pushed very hard.

The torque peak of 642 lb-ft comes at 4150 rpm and the turbochargers obviously can not hold it to redline. By 7000 rpm they are producing 400 lb-ft of torque at the wheels and falling hard.

The numbers again are impressive but one has to wonder how long the turbos will last tuned like this and just how far they are out of their efficiency range.

Yeah, the stock turbos canít keep up in the higher RPMís, but impressive numbers! The mid-range pull must be pretty insane for stock turbos.

Dyno Queen tune? Not hating, just wondering with the S55's rev characteristics. During most driving events I would assume most revs would north of 4k. I guess someone can educate me on what makes this tune awesome...

Unfortunately, the stock turbos on the S55 just cannot keep up on the top end, regardless of the tune. To be able to get 642 lb ft of torque out of them is pretty impressive and will probably be a faster (or at least "better") street car than something with a bunch of turbo lag and huge top end (although probably not as fast on the track).

Not hating, you're right. Pushing the turbos like this is mostly for glory pulls.
