so the consensus is that this is a legit/ acceptable reading DJ Dyno, not the lowest, but certainly not the highest reading?

same dyno i used for baseline and bolt-ons, and 5 psi. was supposed to go back for the new pulley.. maybe ill get it on before the car sells
It seems to be pretty spot on, if ever, I'd say on the lower side. I remember you posting that you made about 33Xwhp SAE on this DynoJet. I'd say thats within normal range depending on what Ignition Targets your car was hitting, along with IATs.

My only gripe about RT Tuning's DynoJet after seeing their YouTube videos is that they have some weak sauce cooling. That one 48" fan they have is not very suitable for our BMWs...mostly because we grab air from different ducts and I don't think that big fan has enough velocity and volume to hit both the oil cooler, radiator, and the air feed in our bumps. You should convince them to invest in a couple more small high speed fans so you can control those IATs Click here to enlarge

I almost gave you a thumbs down for your last post, solely because you said "before the car sells." I DISAPPROVE, haha. Click here to enlarge

    Haha....NICE!!!

If I recall correctly, do you have a BavTech as well? That will be great to monitor some parameters while you're on the dyno too. My friend/dyno operator bought the DynoJet DataLink Module. It hooks up to your OBDII, logs, records, and graphs what ever parameter you choose (IAT, Ignition, ECT, EGT, etc). I love this tiny little box...so many things it can do, haha.

I do have a bavtech, i attempt to log all my runs, but the last time i forgot you had to "export" and not just "save"; damn JB4 and its user friendly logging spoiling me

The Ascari race engine has only sleeves, pistons and rods plus dry-sump on it compared to my road engine.

520BHP is their figure for the GT3 race engine, which is possible.

620BHP is not possible from this engine.Period.
The guys who build the engines for Ascari have a good reputation, but they do not do more than the regular stuff anyone else does as well on the S62.

I built about 12 years ago my first race S62s.Those were engines running without Vanos and more aggressive cams around 540-550BHP on Motec M800 or DTA stand alones.

The only 600BHP+ race S62 I know has a custom block, new cast heads, custom crank,...Every single bit on this engine is revised, even the crank case kept under constant vacuum with a n electric CCV pump.

Dinan modifies the crank and block(oil passages) heavily, but that does not end up with 150BHP more than anyone else.

In the S62 world, there is so much BS power claims around,it is not funny anymore

Here's another one for you guys from our dyno:

Flywheel calculations but you get the point. Maintains low end torque because of the proper cylinder heads and big headers but after 3500rpm.... it's like someone stuck some boost through the engine.
This is how much can be gained on these beasts if done properly.

I am actually sitting here surrounded by some monster S62 builds and S85's in Finland with Mr S62SR himself Click here to enlarge

    Indeed.

And you can clearly see from the graph how safe I tuned this one and still made +80hp.

The pic is actually from last week's training for a workshop owner from New York, who booked one of my training sessions how to rebuild S54/S62/S85 engines.

I think Sal also picked up some tricks how to rebuild S85s,he has proven already that he can build high power S62s.

You read correct,Sal does not only software and development,he builds engines as well!
And he is a real talent doing so.Click here to enlarge
