Hehe yup, there's been a lot of pressure for me to go. I've only been drag racing once (Shift S3ctor), but I do plan on hitting up Sacramento raceway when I get my car back from the body shop. It's a 4 hour round trip drive for me too, Laguna Seca and Infineon are both closer. Won't I get kicked off at Sacramento if I break 135mph without a roll cage?

You guys seem to get a big kick out of drag racing. It's so boring man :p

I can't comment on the 6AT problems, it seems they were letting go in certain gears. I did race against a 6AT Single Turbo and he didn't seem to have any problems, so maybe it was intermittent.
Try it, you might find it more entertaining than you thought. And I will say that in your shoes, I'd consider it an honor to be kicked out. I also have heard (and seen) that most places won't give you the boot in a modern car for not having a cage at the 11.49 mark, that they draw it at the 9.99 mark. And I don't think most people here are looking for good E/Ts, most care about your trap speed.

NHRA rules state quicker than 11.49 requires a roll cage.

wow you guys are lucky! since our track is an NHRA one as well i have to have a roll bar installed if you break 11.49. roll cage for 10.99.. scatter shield if you touch 130mph if you have a MT. and they tell you this before you run...one warning...then booted. no nos allowed on street cars haha.

track prep is crap off the line...but down the track is decent. its at sea level but DA is usually 2000ft+ with 85-90deg temps during the day haha.

I dont think you'll be hitting 135 mph traps for quite some time...
Thinking he will run 135's out of the gate eh? That's amusing especially with no passes to speak of yet.

I have no idea what to expect. And no, I don't think I'll break 135mph on my first try :/ I've just never been there and don't know the rules.

So you pulled 135 out of thin air?

It's what I've heard the "kick you off the track" speed limit is at Sac Raceway. I've never been there.

    Quoting myself:
Won't I get kicked off at Sacramento if I break 135mph without a roll cage?
Just word of mouth, looking for confirmation from people who know.

    BTW, is your car running?

I for one am curious to see how your car does at the track. Good luck on your first time. It can be a little daunting. I am sure you will be fast.

I don't think you have anything to worry about.

Nope but it ran 130 at Sac over two years ago, let's see how you do.
