My whole point is that any "press tune" clearly isn't doing anything for the power, as you say. And this "BMW Press Tune" for "more power"
How do you know? How do you know which cars have what file? There is no way to know. We do know there are press files though.

" [QUOTE=Sticky;585175]I don't know what makes you think press test numbers are the be all end all. So what? Ok, you take a car on a strip. So? The press cars aren't ever prepped for a strip and they likely aren't even testing on a strip.
BMW changes the files to keep the CEL from coming on from repeated laps as stated along with other things. I mean I don't have a whole breakdown for you as I did not develop the software but obviously there are changes to parameters that affect things other than acceleration.
You seriously think there is just one map? We had reports that BMW was testing the cars with over 700 horsepower. Doubt it? What do you think they do? Just develop one file and that is the chosen one? "
ahh I dont know. Maybeee but I just want low end torque. and a quick spool. Engine is with Alex and im stroking it. Maybe... De-Stroke and go 67's? lol soo many options....
Honestly If i wanted peak horsepower i would've quit and just went with a single lol.
I'm probably just indecisive about the turbo choice cause we're waiting to get the kit.
You are right though when you say that you went with the twins for the low end torque. Also the reason why I don't have a big single turbo in my car plus "Sleeper mode" with the twins. "
" Sounds about right, this is about what I would expect. Both cars are fast, obviously the Porsche is lighter and smaller...2+2 sports car with a tiny trunk vs. a 2 door coupe with almost 5 seats and a huge trunk. Not the same type of car, I think given the difference in mission, the M4 does pretty well. "
