" lol article worthy to prove a point, i see you slick but it is true the new Ms become less and less racecarish every generation. my big fat luxury pig is a perfect example of them kiiinddda going for the whole racecar deal but that's about it. of course this is about M3s but you get the point "

" I know its been covered before, but I happened to have my tripod out and decided to snap some pictures and do a small write up. I didn't realize I had my macro lens on until after I was dirty, so enjoy the super close ups.

So I started with a car that had the cabin filter, engine cover and cowl already off. Its only a few 8mm bolts to get to this point, no sweat. I may come back and add all the photos to get to this point but here's a picture of where we started:

First step is to flip open the top of the coil to eject the harness plug. I grab both sides of the coil top as shown and pull up like flipping a lid. Do this for all 6:

" 1) the e30 sounds way better
2) maybe it's just me but it seems like with each passing generation the m3 becomes less of race car turned down for the street and more of a street car turned up just enough to occasionally see the track.
3) I'm just not into this new m3/4... Hopefully that changes "

" Unfortunately, logging with the BT cable pretty much sucks when it comes to fine tuning. Give the ATR thread a good read and download the "Help" file from Cobb's site to get started. Getting a tune that runs decent isn't hard but getting one that runs and logs beautifully is.

You could always pick up a used AP for cheap and go that route. "

I contaced PTF and asked but they only work with Cobb. I did not know Terry helped with BB flash and was not planning on going to shiv haha. I also know there are very knowledgeable people on here that know how to tune also. I always figured with BB flash u were kinda on your own or got the help of other members for tuning that's why I never really went to a turner. I could contact Terry's team and see if they could help but figured I would try here and maybe learn in the process. "

" Hey guys,

I'm looking to pick up a set of downpipes for my N54 335i. Not really looking to spend any more than $350 or so. As for brand, it doesn't really matter. Must be bolt-on and catless.

PM me or reply with what you have and a price shipped to 77479!

Thanks "

Charrigan replied to the thread RB's or single turbo with 120k+ miles? Am I crazy?.
" Thanks everyone for their input. Looking deeper into what I'm looking to gain out of the car I am going to rule out a single kit. Ill never push it to the limits of what it's nearly capable. After all this is my DD and want to keep it reliable the way it has been.

I honestly would be happy with high 400hp range. I know you can push stockers on e85 nearly to that point but I would rather have a little head room for a little more power if I get the itch for more. I also don't like pushing engine components to their limits like running max boost out of stock turbos to hit mid 400whp levels.

@VargasTurboTech since your the only one I know of mentioning egt's you may have more insight on this. Is there a significant difference in get temps comparing stg1 with billet wheels vs stg2 turbos at a similar psi? I know running e85 will help quite a bit. I'm all about heat control and keeping temps in sane areas. I have no idea what egt's the n54 even pushes. "

" Alright so a quick update. Ken never got back to me in regards to the log file that I sent. I received a Auto-Reply saying that he was busy from all the emails ect ect so not sure if he is around or not.

I don't plan on running this flash at all after everybody's suggestions and wondering if somebody with some good tuning knowledge would like to help me with make a safe fast tune for my car. I only have Bav Tech and BB flash but nice long flat roads in NH this weekend for good logging. If somebody is willing to assist just let me know, I would appreciate the help. "

Sticky replied to the thread Moscow night races: E63S 4matic Renntech st.VIP vs GTR st.2+ vs M6 PP-Performance st.2+.
" Great runs here courtesy of BenzBoost member Vasily1. We have seen his E63 AMG in action before. As a reminder, he has a prototype Renntech E63 AMG 4Matic M157 turbocharger upgrade on his car which is putting out something in the 850 horsepower range. We have seen some impressive performance from this car including runs with a Lamborghini Aventador as well as a supercharged C63 AMG and another tuned GTR.

In this run video @Vasily1 takes on a PP-Performance Stage 2 tuned F13 M6 said to making 740 horsepower. In addition, a Nissan GTR with a quoted 700 horsepower is also in the mix.

Thanks to multiple angles and good video quality we get a new view of the action. The M6 and GTR both put up a good fight. The E63 AMG S is the fastest of the trio though consistently managing to open up a gap between it and the other two cars up top. The only run the E63 loses is the very first one where the GTR gets the better start on it but the E63 starts reeling it in.

As the other two cars are on stock turbochargers the power and torque advantage here clearly lies with the E63 AMG and it shows. That stated, the GTR and M6 do well against stout competition. "
