" Then Cobb is even more of a no brainer. Logging is light years ahead and, to someone just getting started, the table definitions alone almost make it worth the cost. "

" Are the hex changes documented somewhere?

I hadn't fought about keeping the jb4 allong the BT cable but that's an option. That said I would rather like to log all the cylinders not only the first. The goal is to slowly learn to tune, the results are not important for the moment. Money is not the primary concern - it's learning. "

DavidV replied to the thread All this differential talk has me thinking (335i).
" If you only disable traction control the ESP will be your safety net no matter what you do.
Even on track days I normally leave this option on if the track is slightly damp or I spot cars with leak oil on track.
That has prevented me from spinning off on various occasions while keeping things reasonably safe and fun, and still have an acceptable slide angle to still feel playful. "

bradsm87 replied to the thread BBFlash maps for the FBO 335i.
" It can certainly be used to flash a FBO map without a JB4 but it generally requires a lot of dyno time and you'll struggle to find someone who is willing to give their map away for free. "

Naturally aspirated that's a sizeable gain. "

Sticky created the thread Mercedes will boost the output of the twin turbo M276 DELA 30 to 367 horsepower for the 2015 W205 C450 sport.
" Mercedes-Benz decided that they need to bridge the gap between the C400 and the upcoming 2015 W205 C63 AMG. The new W205 AMG C-Class will offer something around 500 horsepower meaning that there is a lot of space between it and the 329 horsepower W205 C400. No word on what the torque figure rises to in the C450 but with 4Matic all wheel drive likely standard just like the C400 there should be no problem putting that power down.

Now, should one really opt for the C450 considering the C400 has the same M276 DELA 30 turbocharged 3.0 liter V6? If the E63 AMG and E63 AMG S is to serve as precedent, no. The only difference in those models accounting for the increased output is software and even higher performance software is easily sourced through the aftermarket for far less money. The exact same trick Mercedes pulls with the E63 is likely happening here but until we get an official press release we will not know for sure.

You'll get used to that (strangely only happens on wet roads going uphill), or do as I do, and disable traction control and enjoy the LSD more (hail to the JB4 option which disables this for me automatically!). That will make the car a lot more predictable.

I uderstand the reason for your last question, but for me the Quaife has never let me standing in slippery conditions
In winter conditions I have winter tires so I never encountered a situation where I had no traction at all on one wheel.
In fact having a LSD in snow is quite fun.
And it is a moot point anyway, because if you ever find yourself on a tight uphill turn where one rear wheel is off the ground, you just make some friction to the wheel that's off the ground by pulling your handbrake slightly and you will get out of that sitiation with a Torsen diff.
I would not worry about that at all.
There has to be absolutely zero grip to even consider that trick.
In 3.5 years with my Quaife it has never happened to me yet.
