      Wow, quite simply, wow. The new ML550 is incredibly quick hustling its 5197 pounds to the tune of a 13.4@106 1/4 mile. This is basically the same acceleration once seen from the BMW E46 M3 as well as the C32 AMG. The idea of a heavy SUV accelerating like an AMG sport sedan was unheard of just several years ago, how times have changed. As a reminder, this is the 550 version and not even the 63 AMG which will be even more of a beast.


      The pricing is not even that bad for what one gets with the base price on the ML550 coming in at $58,465. This gets you a 402 horsepower and 443 pound-feet of torque Twin Turbo V8 with 4.6 liters of displacement. Handling is an incredibly respectable .85g on the skidpad.

      Just compare these figures to the recently tested G550 with the same motor and the ML550 makes the G550 look like it is a car from a different era, which it sort of it. Absolutely incredible results for this SUV and frankly, it's a bargain. Well done Mercedes-Benz.

        wow.. as quick as a stock n54 335i down the 1/4. With a simple tune, they can probably squeeze it into the 12. Times have changed quite a bit.

        This will EASILY be in the 12's with a tune. It's insane.

        I wish they would put this motor in the GLK...

        I test my ML500 0-60 using V-Box and it did that in 5.3 sec.
