      The Volkswagen Eos hardtop convertible will be killed off by Volkswagen permanently. No second generation model, no successor to replace it. The move makes sense as there would be overlap in the model range with the Beetle Convertible not to mention the Golf Convertible as well. Head of design at Volkswagen Klaus Bichoff stated, "The Eos will not be prolonged, and then you have two convertibles in the range, the Beetle Cabriolet and the Golf Convertible."

      So the Eos is dead. It was a nice idea just too many cars overlapping with this niche in the lineup.

        That's too bad. I thought it was one of the few convertibles that looked just as good with the top down as up.

        It's just somewhat redundant in the lineup but yes a good looking car.
